Panel Description
The Majors Metal 1.5” Mechanically Seamed profile is a concealed fastener panel. The panel can be formed in either a 12”, 16”, or 20” width. The Majors Metal 1.5” Mechanically Seamed profile represents the state of the art in standing seamed technology for roof integrity and positive weather tightness.
Panel Features and Installation
The side legs of the panel require seamer closings, which is a tool available from Majors Metal. Seaming completely encloses and conceals all clips and fasteners, ensuring the most watertight seal possible. Seaming should be done individually, after each panel is laid in place.
Seaming Options
The Major’s Metal 1.5” Mechanically Seamed, in addition to standard single-seaming, can be double-seamed if necessary, with an additional pass of the seamer.
Material and Application
The Major’s Metal 1.5” Mechanically Seamed utilizes 4” of material to form the legs. This is a 1.5” standing seam architectural panel used widely in commercial and residential applications. It is especially suitable where roof slopes are long and/or low.
